Default Can anybody explain why my new contacts still made my vision blurry?

I've been wearing contacts for years, and my doctor said that I could try Focus Night & Day - ones that you can sleep in and whatnot. So he gives me a sample pair to try out, so I put them in and head home.

Even though the numbers on the lens packages matched my prescription (-4), everything was still blurry. I could see maybe 8 or 9' away clearly (compared to 2' normally), but beyond that, seemed like they were a few points less, but still better than my normal vision. I did notice outdoors that it seemed slightly better, but not great.

The only thing I could think of is that the diameter was 13.8 instead of 14.2, but I asked my doctor and he said that shouldn't be an issue. He had no idea what could have caused the blurryness besides factory error

Either way, I'm on my old stuff now, but I was wondering if anyone had an answer as of why this would happen.
