The fastest way for GPC to resolve is to discontinue contact lens wear. Medications will help to reduce them as well. Once the GPC has reached a manageable level, the best option for returning to contact lenses is a daily disposable as you get a fresh, clean lens every day with less chance for the build-up of allergens. Unfortunately, these are not available in every prescription. It does take several months for GPC to resolve and some people are never able to wear lenses successfully again. Fortunately, with the advent of disposable lenses, these cases are fewer and farther between (assuming your prescription does not require a specialty lens and that you are not already wearing disposables).
