Default lazy eye, Amblyopia?

i am 14 years old and i use to wear glasses for having a lazy eye but i stopped and im sick of having my right eye being lazy and i was wondering if there was any kind of surgery that i could get done???? im realy scared that iw ill go blind in my right eye b/c i am already not able to see things sharpely, like faces and words ont he computer with that eye,. my left eye is perfectly fine. does anyone know of any kinds of surgerys that can be done???
when i was little i had a patch put on my left eye to become more dependent on my right eye

I'm a nurse. See a plastic surgeon but you will have to pay out of pocket. If you are serious contact one of these talk shows and allow them to foot the bill.

Before turning to surgery (which is not a guaranteed fix) I would try some vision therapy again (like the patching). You may have worn a patch for a long time as a younger child but it has now been shown that just two hours of patching is just as effective as a much longer length of time. Before you try to self treat, though (you don't want to risk causing your good eye to become not as good), ask your parents and optometrist to help you find someone who specializes in vision therapy. Do some research online (simply google vision therapy) and look at various techniques - light stimulation and object localization, etc. Here is a website that actually lists some doctors that specialize in vision therapy http://www.vision-therapy.com/

I had surgery at age 63 to correct the problem. The darn surgery sutures pulled loose after 6 months. Think long and hard before having it done. Good luck.
