Default how can you tell if your dog has cataracts?

My cat has that problem.
She can't see and her eyes appear cross
when she tries to focus.

They can't see from the side. They go
by their instincts. Sometimes, their eyes go cloudy,
but that's when it's advance.

if theyre eyes are cloudy and you go to the vet to see why your dog is blind and they tell you he has cataracts
