Default is there a cure for retinitis pigmentosa?updates?
my 7 year old son has retinitis pigmentosa and was diagnosed last may. The doctors said there is no known cure but I don't want to give up. Anyone there that can help me...please do

At this time, retinitis pigmentosa researchers have identified a first step in managing retinitis pigmentosa. While not a cure, certain doses of vitamin A have been found to slightly slow the progression of retinitis pigmentosa in some individuals.

No known cure at this time, but retinology is moving rapidly.
