treatments for pink eye?

Hey I was wondering if you have pink eye do you have to go to the doctor? or can you just wait it off and it'll go away in a couple of days?
and also I seen a medication or something that helps treat Pink Eye around a store. You think that could treat Pink Eye? Like does all pink eye antibiotic work on all kind of pink eye or no?
