In short, I guess, the only thing I want to know is if GPC can be cured. Im on allergan, patanol & tears naturale. The doctor said that I could wear lenses during my 3 month duration but I've been avoiding it anyway, just incase. I just .. after reading many articles I'm just scared, I sort of depend on my contact lenses. My right eye has a number of -10.5 & left -9.5.

GPC is scarey and most people do not read the available material at all. If you do what you are prescribed, you will get better. Some of our patients switch to a daily disposeable and wear them only 8 hours at a time, like just for work or school and leave them out the rest of the time. Ask your doctor if this is a good option for your situation, and see if it is cost effective for you for a 90 day supply. Mostly it is an oxygen and cleanliness factor as far as the lenses are concerned, so getting a daily lense that is thrown out every single day is good for the cleanliness part, and only wearing them 8 hours is goot for the oxygen your eyes need. Call them and see if they think that you could do this!
