A warm tea bag works well as it draws out the infection. I hate conjunctivitus and hope it clears up soon.

For immediate relief, use boric acid solution on a soft cloth and gently cleanse the eye. Follow this with with an opthalmic ointment or prescribed eye drops.....treat both eys.

You never stated if you had seen a doctor...if not you need to see one immediatly. I wouldn't use anything unless a doctor told you to....putting things in your eyes is a good thing it could damage your eyes beyond repair.
