I got pink eye in May because I accidentally fell asleep in my contacts, and for some reason it keeps coming back. It's come back three times and I've used the same bottle of eye drops each time... it comes back when I wear contacts again.

Well I've run out of the prescription eye drops (I used them about 4 days with this infection before I ran out) but the visible symptoms are gone.. redness, discharge, etc., yet I still want more medication so I can finish the bottle and hopefully get rid of it for good so I can finally wear my contacts again.

Is going to a doctor my only option? I'm kinda short on funds and I have my doubts as to whether or not she would even prescribe them anyway. Would the doctor understand my dilemma?
