can pink eye be in one corner of the eye instead of the whole eye?

I noticed yesterday that my eye was starting to become tender, It hurts around bright light and feels like there is something stuck in there but its not and also itches and hurts to touch. But its only pink in the corner of my eye and not on the other side of the same eye. Could this be pink eye?
