Pinkeye Question?

Well, obviously its Thanksgiving. I think my 5 year old might have pinkeye (I'm about 90% sure that's what it is). I'm hosting Thanksgiving at my house today (but he'll be the only kid). Is pinkeye contaigious even to adults? Should I be cancelling the celebration? Help!!!
