Default Is this pink eye?

My 13 month old sons eyelid and surrounding eye area had started turning red but we figured it was because he was cryin all the time than it started with the goopy nasty stuff coming out of his eye so we took him to the doctor & she said he had pink eye - so we treated it like she said 3x a day for 5 days with a prescription. Its been a couple days since stopping due to doing it for 5 days and now it seems like the red eyelid "thing" is coming back after it getting back to a normal "eyelid". I was just curious is this pink eye or something else? If it looks worse tomorrow I'm going to give the dr a call.

O and I did wash everything that he came in contact with to get rid of the germs or w/e. The thing is.. if it was pink eye someone in the house would have gotten it and no one has.. So whats the deal?!

Please help!

i suggest go to the doctor tomarrow. i also suggest eye wash to take out anything in your sons eye. the doctor will tell you what it is and how it can be treated better than anyone of us on yahoo answers.i think i got something like that last summer and i wasn't told whether it was pink eye or whatnot *no one who i got in contact with got pink eye*. the doctor will tell you what it is and how it can be treated better than anyone of us on yahoo answers.
Hope your son gets better!!

It sounds to me he had pink eye and it came back he may have touched his eye and had the pink eye germ on his hands and he has it back again. I would recommend taking him back to the dr. and make sure you dont let him touch his eyes put gloves on his hands or something of the sort if you cant stop him from touching his eyes!

I think in younger people, pink eye tends to revisit, you may want to ask your docotr again on the prescription.

Yeah, it's conjunctivitis. It's nothing serious; I've had it before.

Just see a doctor and keep it clean at ALL times.
