I recently went to get my first pair of glasses. The doctor said I'm farsighted and need help reading things close up. The prescription said +0.75/+0.75 with the "distance vision" box checked.

When I went to pick up the glasses the person at the store asked me to try looking at some far away objects. He seemed surprised when I said they were more blurry with the glasses. He said the "near vision" box should have been checked but that the glasses are fine since they help with near items.

Who's right in this case? Do I have the right glasses?
