Default KERATOCONUS, it's disability and what to expect...?

I was diagnosed with Keratoconus several years back while in the military. Upon enlisting in the military I was 20/20 uncorrected by 3 years later I was 20/200 after being diagnosed with Keratoconus and fitted with gas permeable contact lenses. Now, I am 20/400 I uncorrected and 20/30 corrected but the scarring from the hard lenses, uncomfortable fitting and outright pain has not caused me to be a candidate for a cornea transplant. My claim has been accepted by the VA and I am waiting for a rating. I was told by the physician that he was very concerned about the scarring as well as my current condition. I am wondering what amount of disability I may be granted by the VA. I am only able to wear my contacts for a few hours out the day then I am basically down to having my wife guide me where I go as I can not see. VA understands it's effect on my job.
