Macular Degeneration and Blindness?

Hi, all

I have quite blurry vision-- I am near sighted (can only see well close up) and I wear glasses. I'm 17 years old. I've never had any eye issues-- I only wear glasses.

I'm wondering if bad vision can eventually lead to blindness?
