Default Eye Problem Sensitivity to light?

My eyes are super sensitive to light. When I close them I get a tunnell effect of intermittant dark and bright circular waves that seem to go in a direction away from me (or if you can imagine the reverse of the ripple effect that happens when a stone is dropped into a pond of water). This lasts for a few minutes until my eyes are rested but will start straight away again if I open and close my eyes. It happens in all types of light: Sunlight , florescent and normal bulb light but to a lesser degree with sunligght being the strongest. Can Anyone explain to me what is going on , I just moved to a really sunny part of the world that loves florescent light from a relativley overcast country.

It's never about the light, it's your eyes. Somehow, your eyes can be referred to as slow in dilating or contracting your pupils depending to your needs. this is why you get the tunneling effect whenever you close and open your eyes, your eyes can't bend the light properly enough before it gets to your optic nerves.

Or, the muscles there are not strong enough to maintain itself to be focused on the specific angle it's trying to view an image from.

If you're really uncomfortable with it, you should consult an opthalmologist. But you can go around it if you exercise it a bit from time to time.

It's your mind feeling the fear, not your eyes.
