Default Strabismus Surgery?

So I'm having Strabismus surgery in march to correct my turning out left eye. (Only for cosmetic reasons) but the doctor will be moving my right eye and making it straight with my left eye, the lazy one.
Does it work?
Anyone got some ideas?

It does work and you will be wondering why you waited so long to do it. Good luck!
