...use vigamox to treat styes? I was prescribed Vigamox at the beginning of 2006 for an ulcer in my eye. I have very sore itchy eyes and I just got over a stye on one eye less than a month ago and now both eyes are very tender, sore and itchy. Is it safe to use the vigamox for the styes as well?
First off, this stuff is expensive, even with insurance and I don't have a prescription or refill. Secondly it doesn't expire until 3/2008.

Your Vigamox is almost two years old. Antibiotics can potentially do odd things as they decompose; if you want to use that kind of antibiotic, there's no reason it would harm you, but you need to get FRESH medication.
