I went to get an eye exam today because I cannot see far distances and halos around words. When I spoke to the doctor (I think he is) he told me that I had large pupils which is distorting my vision, And he told me even if he gave me glasses it will not correct the problem. I am wondering if this is true or not and should I go to a eye doctor (In a hospital).
The problems I am having is

1) burly vision when seeing large signs and far distances especially at night.
2) sensitivity to light.
3) burly vision in bright well lit areas.
4) sometimes having problems of focusing.

What do you all think I should do. I want to learn how to drive and i cannot see the street signs! especially at nighttime.

If you don't see too well at night, I wouldn't want you pointing your car at me. If I were in your position, I'd make an appointment with an ophthalmoligist for a second opinion. Make sure to have the records from the first exam available if the doc wants them.
