I'm scared about the surgery can anyone (who has had Lasik eye surgery) ease my nerves?

I wore glasses my entire life and then switched to contacts. They were such a hassle: cleaning them, changing them, redness. I had astigmatism and slight nearsightedness so my contacts only really corrected my astigmatism. I was frustrated and went to Lasik-1 near me in Chicago.
