Default what direction is axis measured?

I think the prescription in my left eye is a bit off. If I turn my glasses about 15 degrees counter-clockwise (from my own perspective), it is much better. Is this increasing or decreasing the axis? My cylinder power is -1.25. Thanks.

If your glasses are new, bring them back to the practitioner asap. Show the person what you have to do with those glasses in order to improve your vision. At that point, the practitioner should be able to do a fix.
